We women have had a hard time with commercials, haven’t we? The humiliation of that stupid “Hail to the V” commercial, which was a douche of a mess; and not too long ago that stupid Superbowl commercial with the evil jealous witch of a sister. It seems that Madison Avenue just refuses to consider encouraging us rather than insulting us with their commercials. I don’t understand it, because I’m more apt to buying a product when the commercial actually inspires me or encourages me, not when it ridicules me. Go figure.
That’s why I love the Fruit of the Loom marketing campaign. They have a series of highly effective commercials that pull nicely at the heartstrings of America! Each of their commercials focus on an aspect of American culture in ways that are tasteful, warm and cozy, if not a bit corny! The commercials are positive, and they include almost every group! After all, they are selling their product that everyone can use, and their resurrected singing Fruit Guys are doing a marvelous job, IMHO!
It’s obvious that someone has done their cultural homework, because the little details of authenticity stand out clearly and that authenticity is what make the commercials so cool! I especially love the low rider commercial for the way the Fruit Guys are crammed into their car and the little spinner t-shirts! LOL! Plus, their locale reminds me of the Mission District in San Francisco, my hometown! That’s the effect they were going for, no doubt.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, well a song must be worth two thousand, and the crooner Apple Guy is smooth as silk! ;) The Fruit Guys backing him up are on point with it! If only all commercials were as thoughtful and entertaining. I know that’s just too much to ask for in this day and age.
“flawless fruit of the loom video”
“datenight fruit of the loom video”
“lowrider fruit of the loom video”
“comfortably fruit of the loom video”
“musical fruit of the loom video”
What’s so hard about making commercials that actually uplift, encourage and put a smile on one’s face?

I love the FTL commercials and they have certainly encouraged me to shop for their underwear. Regarding their treatment of the full-figured woman, I now have an image to point to when I tell a woman I am attracts me notice, that I see her the same way..!
Great stuff, funny, tasteful and still focused on the product… whatever is the ‘Oscar’ for commercials, the cats (or kittens, if there were any) that came up with these ads and the campaign deserve it..!
I love that the commercials appeal to mens’ emotions as well as womens’! Smart marketing in my opinion!
I have not seen these commercials before. It is very refreshing to see fuller figured, real women for a change.
These commercials make me not want to wear underwear. As a matter of fact, I’m gonna protest these stupid commercials and stop wearing draws period!!!
Why you hatin’ on the Fruit Guys, Reggie?
Don’t protest on something that you know you already doing..Naked ass..
Thank you, Anna!
On behalf of my fellow fruit guys or at least on behalf of the Leaf.
